Oil Tanker Drivers, Cleaners Union organize annual function

JAMMU, Apr 17: Speaker Kavinder Gupta and several other dignitaries marked their presence on the annual day function of the Oil Tanker Drivers and Cleaners Union at Rail Head, Jammu including S. Tirlochan Singh Wazir ex-MLC and president J&K State Gurud wara Parbandak Board, Manmohan Chowdhary, Vice Chairman Medical Supplies former Mayor Jammu, SS Khorana, president Oil Tanker Owners association and other senior officers of the state government and district administration Jammu.
Speaker Kavinder Gupta informed the gathering that their demand of road repair has been made and credit goes to the union president Ranjit Singh Raina for raising this public importance issue and bringing it to his (speakers notice).
S. Ranjit Singh Raina, President of the Union welcomed and appreciated the gesture of the speaker and other dignitaries for their gracious attendance in a program of the drivers and cleaners. While addressing the gathering, Speaker Kavinder Gupta congratulated the leadership of the union for organizing such mammoth program wherein the otherwise busy union members including drivers and cleaners get an opportunity to meet each other and share their happiness, grief and other life moment.
T.S. Wazir in his speech called for paying at least the minimum wages to the drivers and cleaners and said that the state government should be serious in issue related to the labours and other professions including drivers and cleaners.
