Dy A.G delivers lecture at SKPA

JAMMU, Jul 18: Newly appointed Deputy Advocate General Arshad Majid Malik, J&K High Court today delivered a lecture at Sher-e-Kashmir Police Academy Udhampur in the ongoing three days course on "Women Safety and Security Issues and Challenges". Mr. Malik delivered the lecture on the topics 'women empower ment and legal provisions' and 'violence against women and expectations of society from police and role of NGOs'.
Mr. Malik dealt in detail the issues of women empowerment and cited several examples to the officers of Police Depart ment about the role being played by the women in the development of the country.
He also referred to various Legislations and Judgments of the Apex Court whereby exemplary action has been taken against the perpetrators of crime against women. Earlier Mr. Malik was welcomed and introduced by Prosecuting Officer Ms. Neha Nayyar.
