Amit holds Herculean meeting with NIC on ePDS Overhauling

Jammu, Aug 14: Amit Sharma, Director Food, Civil Supplies & Public Affairs Jammu today held a Herculean Meeting with top brass team of National Informatics Centre J&K, Master Trainers of all ten districts of Jammu Division and Officers of the department regarding improvisation and leading IT reforms in the department and bringing transparency through usage of latest
techniques of eGovernance.
Director FCS&CA Jammu Amit Sharma had a detailed meeting on lot of issues relating to ongoing Softwares developed by NIC such as ePDS, Supply Chain Management System alongwith all specialists of the domain including Abhay Kumar, earlier State Informatics Officer, J&K NIC, Sunil Koul, Scientist 'E' J&K NIC, Pawan Kumar, Joint Director, Mohd Iqbal Zargar, Joint Director Planning, Joginder Jasrotia, Deputy Director, Kulraj Singh, Deputy Director, Master Trainers of all districts and IT Experts of FCS&CA department of Jammu Division.
The meeting lasted over five hours wherein lot of brain-storming happened between Officers of FCS&CA headed by Director Amit Sharma and NIC Team led by Abhay Kumar and subsequently, several important decisions were arrived at relating to Enablement of New Ration Card Application Forms, Developing a Mobile App for Jammu Division for increasing Aadhaar Seeding, Cashless Transac-tions in department through PoS, Mapping of FPS with concerned TSOs, Updating of Aadhaar with Ration Cards on ePDS at the earliest, etc.
Before concluding the Meeting, it was directed by Amit Sharma, Director FCS&CA Jammu to increase pace of Aadhaar Seeding with Beneficiaries exponentially for bringing more transparency and all possible measures to be taken for implementing earlier Policy Decision for GPS-tracking of movement of FPS Ration Vehicles at the earliest.
It was also decided that the Helpline Number of FCS&CA of Jammu Division 1800 180 7106 for 24x7x365 Public Grievance Redressal shall be given wide publicity to register their issues relating to Ration distribution, Unfair Practices relating to Pricing of Goods & Services, Consumer Awareness, etc and the same shall be displayed in bold letters at all Fair Price Shops of the Division. Apart from this, it was also disclosed that the website of the Jammu division www.dircapdjmu.nic.in can be accessed by the public for gathering maximum information and filing any complaints/issues relating to department.
