IGP Jammu reviewed security arrangements of Shri Budha Amaranth Ji Yatra

Jammu, Aug 16: Dr. S. D. Singh Jamwal, IPS, Inspector General of Police, Jammu Zone, Jammu along with DIG R.P Range Deepak Kumar Slathia-IPS reviewed the Police/ Security arrangements made in connection with Sh. Budha Amar Nath Ji Yatra-2018 commencing with effect from 17th of Aug-2018 from Jammu and shall conclude on 24th of Aug-2018 in twin border districts i.e district Rajouri and Poonch.
During visit Dr. Singh, held a meeting to review the Police/ Security arrangements made in connection with forth coming Budha Amar Nath Ji Yatra and overall security and law and order of the twin border district in which DIG RP Range, SSP Poonch, SSP Rajouri, Addl. SP Poonch and officers from Army, paramilitary participated.During meeting SSP Poonch and Rajouri gave a detailed briefing with regard to the proposed deployment/various measures taken for security and management of yatra and various challenges being faced by the twin border district in view of the present security scenario. Besides, other officers of Army, CAPF and intelligence agencies also gave detailed briefing to IGP Jammu from militancy/law and order point of view.
He stressed upon the officers to ensure that the vehicles cross the identified locations as per the specified cut-off timings, and directed SSP Rajauri &Poonch to take all precautions in view of any inclement weather conditions so as to ensure the smooth passage of the yatra through their respective areas.
