BJP failed to provide basic human requirement to poor people: Manjit

Vijaypur, Aug 19: Former Minister and District President of Congress in Samba today expressed concern over under development of villages in Vijaypur constituency.
A meeting of Congress workers and villagers was organized at Kothey Morh Bassi (Vijaypur) where former Minister Manjit Singh was the chief guest. The locals welcomed the decision of Congress party for his appointment as district president. Speaking on the occasion, Manjit Singh expressed his concern and said the people in Kothey Morh Bassi are facing under development in the area because of failure of BJP led Government.
"The previous coalition alliance which ultimately met its end, was responsible for trouble in Kashmir and under development in parts of Jammu region," he said.
He said that the roads, electricity and power supply are basic human needs which every Government must ensure without any bias but BJP always discriminated with the poor people and farmers.
"Farmers are not only facing power cuts, and village lack proper road connectivity, but they are put under the burden of price hike of essential commodities," he said.
He said that the prices of the essential commodities have increased and they are touching sky despite that Modi Government has done nothing to control the prices for public interest.
"This Government was met for business men and power people. It was Congress which brought development, four lanning national highways across the Country. Jammu and Kashmir was one of the states," he added.


The newly appointed district president Samba listen to the grievances of the people and assured that their demands would be projected before the concerned authorities.
