High Court staff bids farewell to Justice Kotwal

Jammu, Aug 20: A farewell was accorded Justice Janak Raj Kotwal in connection with his Lordship's superannuation. As his Lordship is demitting the office on 28.8.2018. The proceedings of the function was conducted by Joginder Singh, who spoke at length about his Lordships qualities of head and heart. Later on, Baldev Raj, Bench Secretary has also shared his experience while working with the Judge and he has in detail about his Lordship's excellent career and shared his wonderful experience while working with him. Justice JR Kotwal has disposed about more than 5722 cases including 854 in LPAs while serving as High Court Judge and as a Judicial Officer before elevation he has disposed of lot of cases and
rendered many landmark judgments. He worked as Registrar Judicial, Regis-trar Vigilance, Principal Secretary to Chief Justice and Registrar General of the High Court and
elevated to the Bench as Judge High Court on 8.3.2013 and is demitting office after rendering more than 36 years of illustrious services. JNF
