First batch of Mani Mahesh Yatra leaves for Himachal Pradesh

BHADERWAH, Aug 21: First batch of 13-day long Mani Mahesh yatra today leaves for Mani Mahesh (HP) from Bhaderwah.
ADC Bhaderwah Pawan Kumar Parihar, ASP Bhaderwah Rajinder Singh, SDPO Tousef Rishu, Sanatan Dharm Sabha President Bed Kumar Kotwal were present on the occasion.
Adequate arrangements for security, medicare and other essential amenities were made by the administration.
After halting at village Bheja i.e 7 km from Bhaderwah town,the Yatra will enter Himachal Pradesh and will be handed over to Himachal Pradesh Administration, District Chamba.
On the eve of Krishan Janam ashtmi, devotees in large number will take a holy dip in the lake and perform Pooja at Mani Mahesh.
Pertinently,it is an ancient Yatra of J&K which begins from District Doda to Himachal Pradesh.
This yatra have two phases and second phase will start on Shri Krishan Janmashtmi from Laxmi Narayan temple Bhaderwah and will reach Mani Mahesh on September 16.
