Army conducts vehicle repair course for youth

UDHAMPUR, OCT 19: In an endeavour to provide avenue for self employment to the youth of remote regions, Indian Army conducted a Vehicle Repairing course at Bagga. The training was conducted from 28 Sep to 19 Oct 2018.
30 youth from Bagga and nearby villages of Reasi district attended the course. Besides theoretical classes, emphasis was laid on practical training to impart requisite skills and enable the youth to start their own venture.
Such ventures would contribute towards the overall economic upliftment of the society residing in remote areas of the region in addition to upgrading the technical threshold of the local youth.
Speaking on the occasion Mr Bahar Din, Sarpanch of village Bagga, on behalf of the locals, conveyed his gratitude and lauded the efforts of the Army towards empowering the local youth. He also urged the Army to conduct similar course in future for benefit of the youth who have missed out from the present training.
