2.0, Zero or Simmba: Which film do you think will enter the Rs 300 crore club?

18/11/2018

The festive weekend of Diwali was expected to be full of firecrackers as Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan-starrer Thugs of Hindostan had released at the same time. However, unfortunately it bombed at the ticket windows. But not to worry as we have three more big-ticket releases coming up this year which promise to set the cash registers jingling. The three ventures are Akshay Kumar and Rajinikanth's 2.0, Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif's Zero and Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan's Simmba. While we all know that the above-mentioned films have the potential to shatter many records in the domestic market, it is yet to be seen if they manage to enter the elite club of Rs 300 crore.
In 2018, two films, Padmaavat and Sanju, have already achieved this milestone. And we definitely think, out of 2.0, Zero and Simmba, at least one movie has the chance to enter this list. First let's talk about 2.0, which is the most expensive Indian film with a humongous budget of Rs 600 crore. Expected to be a visual spectacle, the science-fiction venture is the next big thing to look out for. It will be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi versions in 2D and 3D formats on November 29.
Coming to filmmaker Aanand L Rai's Zero, the trailer of the film received a thunderous response on social media and has already crossed 100 million views. Honestly, it is this film, which is at its peak, if we are talking about the hype and buzz. The out-of-the-box concept and the never-seen-before avatar of SRK are sufficient enough to make this a blockbuster. Last but not the least is Rohit Shetty's commercial entertainer Simmba.
The kickass cop actioner, which is the remake of Telugu blockbuster Temper has all the elements of a superhit, which can attract the audience to the cinema halls. The makers have already raised our excitement with its BTS videos, which show raw cop Sangram Bhalerao. Not to forget, the goodwill of Padmaavat's grand success will also help this Dharma Production venture at the box office.
