2.0 box office collection Day 13: Birthday gift for Rajinikanth at the ticket windows

It is Rajinikanth's birthday today, but the star isn't in town to celebrate the day with his fans. But, his film 2.0 is continuing its successful run in the theatres for the second week. Die-hard fans of Thalaivar have organised several special shows of 2.0 today to celebrate their demigod.
2.0, directed by Shankar, released in over 10,500 screens across the globe on November 29. The film marched into the Rs 600-crore club quite comfortably in 11 days. The craze on 2.0 doesn't seem to die down any sooner.
On Tuesday, the sci-fi flck collected Rs 54 lakhs across Chennai and it has grossed Rs 19.57 crore at the end of 13 days. 2.0 will cross the Rs 20-crore mark today and make Rajinikanth's birthday even more special for the fans. In addition, 2.0 has raked in Rs 28 crore in Chengalpet area alone in Tamil Nadu. Also, the film seems to be holding well in Singapore. According to the latest reports, the Shankar-directed movie has crossed the lifetime gross of Pa Ranjith's Kabali by earning Rs 11.18 crore in Singapore. However, the sequel failed to beat Endhiran's all-time collection.
2.0 stars Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson in the lead roles. The blockbuster film is slowly inching towards the Rs 700-crore mark and is expected to cross it in the coming days.
