Cleanliness drive launched in Pakka Danga

JAMMU, DEC 14: Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) General Secretary Yudhvir Sethi alongwith Corporator Anil Masoom today conducted and extensive tour of Pakka Danga area and took stock of sanitation and ongoing works by Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC). He was accompanied by Corporator of the area Anil Masoom, officials of JMC including sanitary inspector and officials of PDD department.
During the tour Yudhvir Sethi met shopkeepers, local residents and other people of the area who welcomed his gesture of being amongst them along with staff of various departments to take stock of the developmental issues. Those present on the occassion apprised Yudhvir Sethi of works needed in Pakka Danga streets and adjoining areas on priority.
The sanitary inspector and officials of PDD were shown the dilapidated streets, drains and damaged electric poles and fixtures on them respectively and also directed to carry out cleanliness drive and repair damaged street lights at the earliest. Speaking on the occasion Yudhvir Sethi laid stress on maintaining hygiene in the area by regular cleaning of streets, main roads and drains so that Pakka Danga being main attraction of City bazars stays clean.
People of the area including the presidents of Bazaar associations and local residents thanked Yudhvir Sethi and Anil Masoom for initiating this cleanliness drive. They requested the duo to keep visiting the area regularly so that a check on the employees is maintained and city maintained to highest of standards as part of Swattch Bharat Abhiyan.Ramesh Gupta, Ravi Singh, Nischal Anand and shopkeepers and residents of old city were present on the occasion.
