Army organises awareness lecture on hygiene and Sanitation

In an effort to promote awareness about 'Health and Sanitation' issues amongst the Youth residing in far flung villages, a lecture on 'Hygiene and Sanitation' was conducted by the Army at Youth Centre, Surankote, Poonch distt.
The aim of the lecture was to educate students, to accomplish the vision of a clean and serene India.
The lecture was delivered by an Army Doctor. Emphasis was laid on various aspects that are required to be addressed to have a clean surrounding including use of toilets, proper garbage disposal and waste management. The role of the civil administration as well as each and every citizen was emphasised upon.
The initiative was greatly appreciated by the locals and they expressed their gratitude for the knowledge imparted to them. Such events definitely have a lasting impact on young population of remote and inaccessible areas that are devoid of basic medical facilities.
