Police arrests OGW of militant outfit; seizes IED, other explosives in Pulwama

SRINAGAR, Dec 14: Police arrested an Over Ground Worker (OGW) of a militant outfit along with Improvised Explosive Device (IED) and other explosive substances in south Kashmir district of Pulwama on Friday.
Official sources said that following specific information about transportation of weapons, a police party intercepted a person in Pulwama on Friday.
During checking, police recovered an IED and other explosive substance, they said.
The accused, an OGW, was immediately taken into custody and the material was seized.
Police have registered a case and initiated investigation to nab other people involved, they added.
Confirming the arrest, the official twitter handle of Kashmir Zone Police said, Police in Pulwama arrested one individual carrying explosive substances and IED.
Case registered. Further investigation in progress.
