J&K Police, Bank Academy qualify from Jammu

JAMMU, APRIL 9: Jammu and Kashmir Police and J&K Bank Academy today qualified from Jammu leg of the State Football Championship the final of which shall be played at Srinagar on a later date.
"JKP and Bank Academy have qualified for the final of round of the competition from Jammu. Similarly, two teams of DFA Srinagar and Real Kashmir (Junior) have won their respective semifinals from Kashmir leg. Now, these four teams shall be playing in the final round slated for next week at Srinagar," joint secretary Jammu wing and vice president of JKFA, Ramesh Chander told SAN. Earlier, in the semifinals, decided today at GGM Science College ground, here, J&K Police defeated Shaheen FC by two goals to nil.
Fasil Rashid and Yaseen Rashid were the scorers. In another scheduled semifinal of the day, Bank Academy defeated Vijay Club making it a one-sided 5-1 contest. Deepanshu, Jayant, Sunil, Jayant and Sunil were the scorers from winning side while Dushyant reduced the margin from Vijay Club.
Today's matches officiated by the technical penal including Vijay Kumar, Dheeraj Meenia, Ricky Kumar, Suresh Gupta and Rocky Sharma.
