Army conducts quiz competition

JAMMU, APRIL 18: Indian Army organised a Quiz Competition at Peer Panchal Education Mission, Bari (Darhal) in Rajouri district to encourage the students of remote areas to study and be updated on the current affairs in various fields. The quiz competition was aimed to provide a platform to the school students to showcase their knowledge and get motivated to gain more knowledge and remain updated on all subjects. A large number of students participated in the competition which was categorised into current affairs, general knowledge, science & technology etc. The students took active interest in the competition. The students participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. Such events motivate the students to acquire knowledge, do research work and be able to participate in such events with confidence.
Conduct of extracurricular activities like this provides a platform for students to keep themselves abreast with studies and current affairs which will be helpful in overall development of the children. The participants and school teachers expressed desire that more such events to be held in the future as well.
