Yudhvir prays for world peace during Good Friday prayers

Jammu, Apr 19: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State General Secretary Yudhvir Sethi today prayed for prosperity and peace in Jammu and Kashmir State while offering prayers at St. Paul's Church, Residency Road and St. Peters Catholic Church at Prem Nagar on the occasion of Good Friday here today.
A large number of devotees had gathered at the Church to pray and seek blessings from Lord Jesus Christ where the management committees also made Yudhvir Sethi distribute community meals amongst them.
Yudhvir Sethi while being with the Christians present on the occasion spent time praying and meditating on the agony and suffering of Christ on the Cross.
Among them present include Jugal Dogra Rabina Akhtar Papu Ram parsad Rohit Chowdhary
On this day Christians commemorate the passion or suffering and death on the Cross of Lord, Jesus Christ. Yudhvir Sethi while speaking on the occassion said Jesus' Crucifixion was a horribly painful and disgraceful form of Capital punishment used in the ancient world. He said we must pray for peace in the world and try to help each other by all means.
Earlier, Christians present on the occasion prayed in the church and remembered Jesus Christ and his sacrifices. They also prayed for peace in Jammu and Kashmir and said that Christians have contributed a lot in the development of Jammu and Kashmir State. Rabina Akhtar Vice President ST Morcha also appreciated their role and said that state owes a lot to them for their contribution.
