Awareness campaign on "Swachh Bharat Mission Summer Engagement of Students" held

JAMMU, JUNE 20: An awareness compaign of "Swachh Bharat Mission Summer Engagement of Students" was organized by JMC. As a warm invitation to JMC team of Solid Waste Management by the Principal Mrs. Shahnaz Choudhary, Principal Govt. Higher Secondary School, Channi Himmat, W.No. 51 Jammu (in presence of summer engagement students) to dispose off solid waste from the institution as well as society. In this connection, Jammu Municipal Corporation spared his team member on20.06.2019 regarding the Principal and respected staff members and the students engaged in Summer engagements. Master Romit Kumar started his lecture with the solid waste management.
He told the different ways to dispose off solid waste from the school to the society. According, to him after segregation Biodegradable are stored in a container and composted in month. The method is very easy first of all put the small stems then some leave after that put all the organic material in the container put some cattle dung in the container it will remove all the foul smell of the contain but after filling it cover it with a led or small other cover. Then it should be let it free for the month. Then, the compost will be prepared automatically within the month without any chemical/physical process. The Non- Biodegradable is washed dried then can be sold to JMC which will be further send to processing unit for recycle. Students of the school appeal to the people that not to use polythene carry bags. The Programme coordinator Sh. Chameil Singh (Physical Trainer Master) arranged the sitting of the students as well as outsiders to attend the programme.
Another awareness and practical demonstration regarding Solid Waste Management is taken up by members of SWM team of JMC at Durga Nagar Park, Ward No.64. Master Jorawar Singh started his lecture with the solid waste management. He told people that how to prepare compost from organic waste of the homes. People carefully listened and determined to take up such fruitful case in homes as well as surrounding people were shown container of Blue and Green colour to collect organic and inorganic waste of their home in separate manner. These initiative are taken by the team of JMC to change the behavior of the people. Programme attended by Mr. Ashwani Kumar, Mr. Ved Pal Sharma and other team of JMC installed the banners and posters.
