Child Development Project conducts meet, frames procurement committee

JAMMU, June 20: Team from the office of the Child Development Project, Migrant Office, Jammu conducted a meeting at the Jammu Municipal Corporation's Ward 41 Office, Talab Tillo.
BJP State Secretary & JMC Councillor from Ward No. 41, Sanjay Baru chaired the meeting and discussed various issues public concerns regarding quality in mid day meal supply in schools, sanitation scenario in ward and other major development issues in the ward.
In the meeting, a procurement committee was constituted for two Centres under the Project situated in the ward with the Ward Councillor Sanjay Kumar Bar as its Chairman along with Member Secretary (Supervisor of ICDS project migrant), members (2 mothers of beneficiaries nominated by CDPO ICDS Project Migrant on rotation basis for one year) and members (2 AWWs nominated by CDPO ICDS Project Migrant on rotation basis for one year) as members of the committee.
Sanjay Kumar Baru, while addressing the meeting, threw emphasis on the quality to be maintained by these Centers and stressed on the effective steps to be taken to ensure the well-organized working by these centers.
He emphasized on the good quality and adequate quantity of the food. He said that the Centre government is providing the financial as well as technical assistance needed for the running of the Centers and the involved officials as well as all other concerned must put their good efforts in the job.
Number of social and political leaders from the ward namely Jaideep Sambyal, Ashok Singh Wazir, JMC Supervisor Anoop Sharma with workers of concerned Centres, JMC Nigraan Sanjay Sharma and others were also present in the meeting to highlight and discuss the public issues effectively.
