DPEO Poonch reviews BDC Election arrangements

POONCH, OCT 12: District Panchayat Election Officer Poonch Rahul Yadav today chaired a meeting of Returning officers, Assistant Returning officers and contesting candidates regarding the upcoming BDC elections here.
The meeting was attended by Deputy District Election Officer Vikas Anand, Nodal Officer Expenditure Monitoring Mohammad Akram Thakkar, Observers Tarsem Kumar, and Abdul Khalik, ROs and AROs, Video surveillance team, Video Viewing team, Expenditure Monitoring team, Media certificate team, Flying squad team, MCC team and contesting candidates were present in the meeting.
The DEO said that polling in 11 blocks of district Poonch would be held on October 24. He also informed that counting of votes shall be held on the same day.
Deputy District Election Officer Vikas Anand explained about the guidelines and procedure of handling of ballot box to the participants.
In the meeting, Shadow register was provided to contesting candidates.
The DEO exhorted upon the participants to get themselves acquainted with their duties and also stressed upon the designated Returning Officers and Assistant Returning Officers to start their exercise for ensuring free, fair and transparent BDC elections.
