Rishu wins Gole Panj Peer Dangal title

JAMMU, Oct 15: Punjab Wrestler Rishu Pahalwan clinched the Annual "Gole Panj Peer Dangal" title by defeating Wrestler Asif from Jammu in a very tough fight. The Dangal was organized by Farman Ali, organizer of the Dangal Committee and the tournament was attended by many dignitaries including MP Rajya Sabha Shamsher Singh Manhas as Chief Guest and Former Minister and Ex-MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) as Guest of Honor.
Others including State Vice President BJP and Corporator Pramod Kapahi, Corporator Ward 32 Sat Pal Karlupia and many others were also present.
In all, dozens of bouts were played in the one day long Dangal and wrestlers from various States participated in the tournament to display their fighting skills.
The first Mali bout (1st Malli) winner Rishu Pahalwan was cash awarded with Rupees 21000 while the runner up Wrestler form Jammu, Asif was cash awarded with Rupees 15000 and third position holder Sadiq was cash awarded with Rupees 11000 by both Shamsher Singh and Sat Sharma.
Speaking on the occasion, Shamsher Singh and Sat Sharma appreciated the efforts of the committee for organizing such type of event every year with a motive to indulge youth in sports events. They stated that such events will give a major boost to FIT INDIA movement launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and they appealed the youth present to focus on sporting activities as well in order to keep the mind and body fit. Both leaders also asked youth to Stay Away from ills of society including "Drug Menace" which is trying to deteriorate the youth of our country.
Deepak Kumar, Shammi Saini, Rinka Saini, Rajesh Saini, ManzoorAhmed, Ghulam Nabi, MohinderKumar, Bablu Chand and several others were also present.
