Army conducts veterinary camp

JAMMU, DEC5: Army organised a Veterinary Camp at Maira to provide a healing touch to the local villagers, Gujjar and Bakkarwal community.
Veterinary support to the livestock was provided by Army Veterinary doctors and civil doctors from Animal Husbandry Department, Rajouri, where a total of 4527 animals were treated. In addition, Veterinary doctors also explained various tips and methods to the villagers to keep their livestock healthy. The Veterinary Camp helped the Gujjar and Bakkarwal community who live in remote and inaccessible areas in the region to look after their lifestock. A total of 350 villagers including Sarpanches and Panches of Maira and adjacent villages were present during the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Sarpanch of village Maira conveyed his gratitude to the Army for conducting the veterinary camp which had assisted the Gujjar and Bakkarwal community.
