ACB produces Chargesheet against Revenue Officials

JAMMU, Jan 27: Anti-Corruption Bureau produced a chargesheet in case FIR No. 13/2016 P/S VOJ (now ACBJ) in the court of Spl. Judge Anti-Corruption Court Jammu against five accused persons namely Nazir Ahmed S/o Gaddi Mohd. then Naib Tehsildar R/o H. No. 42 W. No. 05, Tehsil Bari Brahmana, District Samba, Ram Dass S/o Dua Ditta then Girdawar Bedhari R/o VPO Taloor Tehsil & District Samba, Gulab Singh S/o Phulla Singh R/o H. No. 147 Sector No. 13 Nanak Nagar, Jammu and SardariLal S/o Jagan Nath R/o Ward No. 2, PWD Colony, Kathua and Yudhvir Singh S/o Sh. Sansar Singh then Patwari Bedhari (Nanak Chack) Samba R/o Tirlok Pur P.O Jakh Tehsil Vijaypur District Samba (now dead) for commission of offences u/s 5 (1) (d) r/w 5 (2) J&K PC Act,467,468, 470, 471, and 120-B RPC registered at P/S VOJ (now ACB).
The instant case was registered after conducting a verification into the allegations on the complaint of one MeenaAnand W/o Sunil Anand R/o Ward No. 5/7 Samba alleging therein that one Gulab Singh S/o Phulla Singh R/o H. No. 101 Nanak Nagar, Jammu through his attorney holder SardariLal in connivance with the above said accused revenue officers/officials sold the land measuring 9 kanal 05 marlas falling under khasra No. 145, 148 and 291 situated at Village Nanak Chack Village Samba owned and possessed by the complainant was sold by attorney holder SardariLal to Raj Kumar S/o Ram Krishan R/o Meerth Tehsil and District Kathua and Jugal Kishore S/o Om Parkash R/o Rasoo Post Office Hatli District Kathua.
After the registration of the instant case FIR, the Anti-Corruption Bureau Jammu conducted investigation into the allegations levelled by the complainant against the accused persons and concluded the investigation as allegations were substantiated during investigation against the above said persons. As such the chargesheet in the instant case has been produced before the Court of Special Judge Anti-Corruption Jammu for judicial determination.
The instant case was transferred to the Court of Addl. Sessions Judge Jammu in which next date of hearing has been fixed on 24.02.2020.
