Bhalla condemns terror attack on Gurudwara in Afghanistan

JAMMU, MAR 25: Former Minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla on Wednesday condemned the terror attack on a Gurudwara in Afghanistan that killed 11 devotees and wounded as many, in what is seen as one of the deadliest attacks on the Sikh community in the country.The attack took place on the gurudwara in Shor Bazar area of Kabul when about 150 worshippers including children had gathered for morning prayers. Unidentified gunmen and suicide bombers stormed the Gurudwara killing at least 11.Slamming the attack, Bhalla said, "such cowardly attacks, on the places of religious worship of the minority community, especially at this time of COVID-19 pandemic, is reflective of the diabolical mindset of the perpetrators and their backers." "We convey our sincerest condolences to the immediate family members of the deceased and wish speedy recovery to the injured. Bhalla demanded all possible assistance to the affected families of the Hindu and Sikh community of Afghanistan.
