DM Anantnag reviews COVID -19 preparedness

ANANTNAG, MAR 27: District Magistrate (DM), Anantnag, Bashir Ahmad Dar today said that the focus of the district administration is to increase the capacity of Administrative & Hospital Quarantine in the district. He added that quarantine and other facilities have been improved to combat with any exigency.
While reviewing the preparedness for prevention of Covid-19 incidence in the district the District Magistrate said that the administration is making every effort to provide basic facilities including medicine, ration, LPG and other essentials to the people during the lockdown.
He said that the people are being motivated to follow the restriction for their safety and lauded them for offering Friday prayers at their homes. He appealed people to cooperate with the administration to avert COVID - 19 infection.
The DM revealed that as yet Anantnag district is COVID-19 free as all the 9 samples sent for testing have proven negative.
