Jammu, Mar 29: The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has been interacting with the people of the country through'Mann ki Baat' for many years, covering a range of subjects and issues. In this series, the PM went to public through this programme once again on Sunday with whole focus on Corona Virus and various steps taken to check the spread of this deadly virus. He also conveyed to the Indians about the need to impose 21-day lockdown, while apologizing for any inconvenience which may have caused to them.
Balbir Ram Rattan said that appeal by PM to observe 1-day Janata Curfew witnessed overwhelming response, showing that the people took PM's words seriously.
Similarly, people are following 21-day lockdown by keeping them indoors and taking other precautionary measures. But still there are cases where some people are violating the restrictions and going out, which may prove to be harmful for them and others. Such a situation, has, once again, made PM to stress on the importance of strictly observin lockdown with sincerity and commitment.
"Through 'Mann ki Baat', the PM has asked people to not take lockdown as punishment; to increase social distance and decrease emotional distance, to contribute in war against corona Virus and now it is the duty of every one to take firm decision to not violate any preventive restriction in the interest of the nation, own interest and interest of the family," Balbir said and expressed hope that good sense would prevail on those who are 'non serious' towards Corona Virus and become 'most serious' now onwards.
