Most affected by lockdown should be provided free ration at their door steps: Bhalla

Jammu, Mar 29: Fulfilling social and moral responsibility amidst corona virus scare, Manag-ement of Naag Shiv Mandir, Marble Enclave Trikuta Nagar in presence of former Minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla , SHO Trikuta Nagar ,Aman Bawa, VS Kundal, Pawan Shastri, Iqbal Singh, Rajesh Vaid, Nitin Pandho, Vijay Mahajan, Sanjay Verma,Suresh Kohli distributed 500 flour(Atta) bags 10 Kg each among poor.In line with Sanatan ideology that service to mankind is service to God Management of Naag Shiv Mandir,Marble Enclave Trikuta Nagar distributed relief material among the poor and needy who have been most affected by the lockdown due to spread of deadly Corona virus.
Bhalla on Sunday expressed his gratitude to all doctors, nurses, policemen, sanitation workers and others who have been working hard to combat the spread of COVID-19.He said no words were enough to thank these individuals who were selflessly carrying out their duties and inspiring fellow countrymen."I would like to convey my heartfelt gratitude & appreciation for all the Doctors, Nurses, Paramedical Staff, Police Personnel, Govt. Officials, Emergency Res-ponse Personnel, Sanit-ation Workers & Volunteers who have come forward in this hour of need to fight the COVID-19," Bhalla said."No words are enough to thank these individuals who are standing up for the community & performing their duties selflessly in these times. They are putting the interest of society above anything else which makes their contribution & perseverance an inspiration for us all," he added.
On this occasion, former Minister Raman Bhalla also interacted with the needy persons and appealed them to cooperate with the Government and law enforcing agencies to break the chain of Coronavirus.
As the Government has announced the lockdown to break the chain of deadly Corona Virus and to mitigate the problems of the labour class and the poor people who have been affected by the lockdown due to COVID-19,Bhalla said that the process of relief material distribution should continue till the lockdown is in force. He further added, that the people who are most affected by the lockdown should be provided the free ration at their door steps.
These are extraordinary times, we are grateful that we are getting unprecedented understanding and cooperation from the people at large. Bhalla reassured the people not to get panicked and that administrative machinery is constantly and closely monitoring the situation and taking all necessary steps.He further solicits the support of everyone in reporting cases, following advisories and in cooperating with the administration even though it may be uncomfortable at times.Bhalla hailed re-telecast of the epic tele-serials "Ramayan" from Saturday, March 28, on DD National amidst the nationwide lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic. We should ensure that everyone and specially kids must watch Ramayan. Good opportunity to learn our culture and values. It is time to again get back the ride of feeling nostalgic. Bhalla demanded administration that people involved in essential services including healthcare personnel should be exempted from the restrictions.
The district administrations should put in place a mechanism to ensure uninterrupted supplies and deliveries of essentials to the general public. Essential commodities should be home-delivered to the residents as part of the mechanism.
