Baba ji's visit came as a pleasant surprise for the people in J&K as from last more than a year he had not visited the erstwhile State, now UT owing to cancellation of his two annual satsang programmes consecutively in 2019 and 2020. The philanthropist, who is truly a Messiah for the humanity, met the Lt. Governor during this corona virus crisis, to offer his organisation's support and assistance in the rescue and isolations work being done by the J&K Administration.
Baba ji was accompanied by the Zonal Secretary Mr Sunil Talwar in his meeting with the LG, where he told the LG that his organisation and the Sewadars are offering all the cooperation and support to the J&K's administration in mitigating with the crisis created due to this pandemic. The LG Mr G C Murmu, thanked Baba ji for all his support and cooperation, and also sought the support of the RSSB spiritual Master in expending the message to the masses to maintain hygiene and social distancing. After the tête-à-tête with the Lt Governor, Baba ji visited the satsang centre at Keran, Bantalab Jammu where the RSSB had offered its Centre for quarantine facilities to the administration and also prepared food for the people lodged inside for isolation and also prepared packed food packets to be distributed amongst the poor and needy, by the administration.
Thereafter Baba ji visited Udhampur Centre, Najwal- Thandi Khui and certain more satsang centres at Kathua. Sources said that the purpose of his brief unscheduled visit at this hour of crisis was only to encourage his Sewadars (volunteers) and thank them for their selfless service for the society and the mankind, as without any consideration of religion, race, caste, creed or colour, they are extending support of boarding, lodging and food for the humans who are in isolation or have been separated from their families owing to this pandemic.
He extended his gratitude and love for his Sewadars in these Centres and elsewhere also, and exhorted upon them to come ahead for supporting the humanity as every action of support towards the humanity is sewa towards the Lord Almighty.
He also asked each and everyone from his functionaries to sewadars to take care of themselves also, while doing their sewa and maintain social distancing besides following other health norms as prescribed by the health care workers.
It may be mentioned that all these centres of RSSB have been offering quarantine services, hygienic bathrooms/ toilets to the administration for lodging of the inmates for isolation, besides the RSSB organisation is also serving three times meals, milk, tea for the children and sick, needy at these centres, prepared in most hygienic and clean environment.
In Najwal centre which is at Thandi Khui Vijaypur, there are about 1500 inmates stationed by the administration besides at other centres like Lakhanpur, Kathua, Chann Rorian, Keran etc. At all these centres food for the inmates, and packed food for the needly people is being cooked, prepared and handed over to the administration to distribute wherever they feel appropriate ore required. Besides this, the Organisation has donated Rs 2 Crores to the PM Cares fund and Rs 1 Crore to J&K Relief Fund. This is in addition to donations given to Delhi, Haryana, HP, Rajasthan etc.
All these efforts of the organisation are pro bono and only on humanitarian considerations, keeping in view the situation that has arisen for the entire human race.
Though the organisation does not publicise its humanitarian acts, however it has been learnt from sources that Baba ji has instructed all the field functionaries in the UT of J&K, to extend all sort of cooperation and support to the administration for meeting out such a herculean task at this time of global health emergency.
