Online education being taken up in a big way: Suri

JAMMU, May 18: Asking opposition to play a constructive role in these testing times, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K Executive Member, Raman Suri, today said that different financial packages announced by Union Government were all meant to support MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises), labourers, farmers and students besides other business houses. He added that during fight against Covid-19 pandemic, we must be constructive and keep petty politics for some other day.
"After having announced Rs 20 lakh crore fiscal package for different sectors in the country for their survival including MGNREGS allocation, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Bee Keeping, Herbal Cultivation, Food Grains for migrant workers and MSMEs,Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has come to the rescue of students by announcing online classes and many new channels", Raman Suri said.
Raman Suri said, Congress and AAP were trying to exploit sentiments of hapless labourers but the Union Government has now made arrangements to ensure that each one reaches his/her home. Instead of asking these people not to trek and stay wherever they are, as said by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, opposition leaders were criticising government and trying to exploit the situation.
Seized of situation the Union Government announced Rs 20 lakh crore package, which is 10 per cent of the country's GDP and now, when top 100 universities in the country will be able to start online courses via radio and television for students who don't have constant access to the internet amid the coronavirus lockdown, education revolution will enable students study well.
