Treachery with nation of any nature is always unpardonable: Chrungoo

JAMMU, Aug 1: "Treachery with the nation of any nature in any circumstances is always unpardonable and simultaneously punishable in all the countries of the world. There are no excuses possible in defending treason, the act or acts of treason are too indefensible", said Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, senior BJP and KP leader and Incharge: Department of Political affairs and Feedback in an interaction with the youth of the J&K in Jammu today. The youth met him regarding the preparations of Global Webinar on 5th August 2020 to be hosted by Pune based Internet Enclave on the issue of 'significance of August 5th'.
While addressing the youth activists, Chrungoo said that the recent decision of the UT government to institute enquiries regarding UT employees, engaged in any antinational activity, is not only appreciable but is also worth to be followed by the other public sector and semi-government institutions in the Union Territory. Jammu and Kashmir has given a long rope to its employees in this connection over a long period of time while several state employees in the past were seen participating in protests and other activities considered to be anti-national.
"The J&K government has created a committee to deal with the cases of alleged anti-national activities by administration staff and to tighten its grip over the government employees and officials (who are duly paid out of taxes of the people) involved in alleged anti-national activities in Jammu and Kashmir, the government constituted a six-member committee for scrutinizing and recommending cases under Article 311 (2)(c) of the Constitution of India", emphasized Chrungoo.
He also further said that the orders of dismissal shall be issued by the general administration department after the approval of the competent authority. Mere warnings won't work now and it should be seen as an attempt to cleanse the system of such employees and officials against whom substantial evidence was found.
Chrungoo also said, "Certain obnoxious posts in media and on social media lead us to believe that some people within the community of Kashmiri Pandits are desperate to tarnish the great nationalist image of KPs by suggesting that KPs want 'restoration of Art370/35A, reversion to state and the so-called special status'. Let me say that such a day-dreaming in politics and public life is not something new.
Everyone is free to do so at his or her own will.
But it is reiterated that all anti-national elements within the society who have overt or covert relationship with Hurriat and other separatist elements and are simultaneously trying to create confusion in this regard will be socially isolated and politically crushed without any mercy.
