137 Bn CRPF, Wild Life Division organize tree plantation drive

JAMMU, Aug 1: On the occasion of 72nd Van-Mahotsav-2020, tree plantation drive was organised by 137 BN CRPF in collaboration with Wildlife Division Jammu at wildlife sanctuary Nandini, Jammu. Over 400 saplings of different varieties were planted under the joint leadership of DFO Shri Anil Attri and CRPF CO Nandani Sh Pankaj
Speaking on the occasion Sh Anil Attri said, "The initiative reconfirms the Wildlife Department's commitment to help preserve ecology and spread awareness about the importance of the 'Green Gold' especially in view of the climate change and rampant felling of the trees. Our department has always been at the forefront of helping protect the environment and every year conducts plantation drives across the UT".
Pankaj Kumar Assistant Commandant CRPF, Gulam Qadir Range Officer (Nandini Wildlife Sanctuary) and Block Officer Maqbool also pitched in to contribute towards this noble cause on the solemn occasion by planting saplings of fruit and fodder species.
137 BN CRPF Team and Wildlife Division Jammu participated in the drive.
