JAMMU, AUG 4:"Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah's statement that abrogation of erstwhile State's special status has neither ushered in development nor put an end to terrorism, is a complete bias and one sided story, wherein he forgot to tell the world that this time it is not the young Kashmiri boys but militants who are getting killed every day. He also forgot to tell that Pakistan, which had been aiding and abetting militancy since long, is on a back foot and its sponsored Hurriyat leaders too have started disassociating themselves from their disillusioned movement that had brought in deaths and destruction in Kashmir Valley".
This was stated by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) J&KExecutive Member Raman Suri, who added that Farooq Abdullah also forgot to tell the world that how their regional parties, backed by Congress, never empowered Panchayats and local bodies which empower people at village and town levels. The former chief minister, by raking up 1999 hijacking case, also tried to glorify anti-India campaigns and failed to compliment Kashmir youth for not indulging in stone pelting.
This perceptible change in the system of functioning and peace, that is dawning on UT of Jammu and Kashmir, is not being digested by Abdullahs, he added. Raman Suri said, had Farooq Abdullah been so compassionate towards Kashmiri, he would have given equal rights to women, supported Tripple Talaq Bill and not named every second building in the name of his father and relatives.
Now that they stand exposed in front of their own people, whom they used to say Article 370 and 35A can never be abrogated, they are trying to justify their wrongs that they had been doing with people of Kashmir.
