Prabhat Fheri held at Katra

Katra, Oct 23: Katra town, the base of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi shrine has been witnessing Prabhat Pheri daily during Navaratras and it has emerged a popular event during the current navratras. It is pertinent to mention here that long time ago during the yesteryears of ethnic India, people from villages got up early in the morning before sun rays & took rounds of the village chanting & singing bhajans. It is believed that Prabhat Feri invokes the good spirits and chases the evil spirits, further welcomes the morning with good vibrations. Deevotees and locals took part in Prabhat Feri which was arranged by J&K Association of Prabhat Pheri with active support of SMVD shrine Board & district administration and public Katra. A spiritual environment was created by today's Prabhat Feri which started from Bus Stand Katra to Darshan Deodi via Ban Ganga Road and procession was welcomed and joined hugely by the locals and pilgrims all along the route. All the precaunary measures of covid 19 were in place. Prabhat Feri today was inaugurated by Chief guest Vimal Indu president municipal council Katra & guests of honour Rajesh Gupta Xen R&B Katra and Kushal Sanmotra former joint director BOSE in presence of special invitees Bindu Sharma, Renu Bala and Renu Arora. Chief guest and other councilors were felicitated by the association members with mata ki chunaries. The locals as well as pilgrims danced to the tunes of bhajans and kirtan performed. Baldev and Santosh Pandey. Abantika and Rashmi kanjaks blessed the people in the procession. CRPF personnel received the procession at Yog Ashram and served the parshad to the participants under the supervision of crpf commandant of 6th battalion Jitender Gupta.
