Mayor inaugurates ayush medical camp, development works

JAMMU, Oct 23: Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation Chander Mohan Gupta today on 23/10/20020 inaugurated an Ayush Camp at Govt. Middle School Munshi Chak of ward no.32. The camp was presided over by Satpal Karlupia Councilor of the ward and was organized by representative of Gandhi Global family namely Dr. S.P Verma & others, Rajesh Saini, Satish Salaria, Arun Dubey, Lovkesh Gondhi, S. Upkar Singh, Puneet Mahajan & other prominent inhabitants of the locality as well as Madam Sukhveer Kour, Principal of Govt Middle school Munshi Chak & other staff members were also present there. Proper medical checkup of the locals/ participants were conducted by the doctors of Indian System of medicine department besides distributing Ayush Medicines for immunity boosting to the inhabitants. Speaking on the occasion, Mayor told the General Public to adopt Ayurvedic a habit for healthy living in this period of crises arisen due to COVID-19 pandemic and take full benefits from these type of Ayush Camps being organized in their localities time to time.
Later, Mayor in presence of Advocate Purnima Sharma Deputy Mayor, Baldev Singh Billowaria Chairperson Public Health & Sanitation Committee, Vinay Gupta Jammu District President BJP, Anil Kumar Councilor of ward no: 68, Raj Kumar Councilor of ward no: 51 also inaugurated the commissioning of open air GYM alongwith requisite number of equipments in a park situated at Greater Kailash Area Jammu of ward no: 68. Field staff of engineering wing & Health Section of JMC as well as other prominent inhabitants of the ward were also remained present during the inauguration function which was held in a very simple manner.
Mayor told the gathering that JMC has already taken up the job of commissioning open Air gyms in every ward of the city so that general public, locals as well as children can take full benefits in a an open & eco-friendly atmosphere & inhale fresh air while performing physical exercise. He further said all the 75 Councillors of JMC is working tirelessly as a team work form the last two years after they became elected representatives of the public for providing best possible civic, development & other basic amenities to the citizens of Jammu. The Department in collaboration with PDD & EESL Pvt Ltd. has already installed about 70,000 LED street lights within Jurisdiction of JMC and about 30,000 additional Led street lights will be installed in the left over localities of the wards within shortest period of time. Besides this, repairing & replacements of the defunct/damaged lights is continuously going on by the EESL Company on routine basis.
