Lawyers continue protest, demand opening of court premises

JAMMU, Oct 28: Continuing its struggle since 15th of October for opening of Courts for lawyers and litigant public, for physical hearings and other demands, the Lawyers Action Committee of Advocates Bar Jammu constituted by the Practicing Advocates in High Court and Subordinate Courts in Jammu, held an impressive Dharna in the Janipura Court area today. Besides the lawyers practicing in Jammu High Court and District Courts, the lawyers practicing in Samba District Court and RS Pura Court participated. The participating lawyers were protesting against closure of entry for lawyers and general public to High Court and Subordinate Courts in Jammu Province besides on other issues.
Addressing the lawyers Dharna, DK Khajuria (Former president Jammu Bar), JA Kazmi (Former vice president Jammu Bar), Subhash Singh Sambyal (senior member and former president of Samba Bar), HC Jalmeria, Usman Salaria (Former vice president Jammu Bar), Vinod Abrol, Sabodh Singh Jamwal, Kuldip Singh Parihar expressed great anguish over the continued silence of the authorities concerned over the demands of the lawyers. They impressed upon the judicial authorities and the UT Government to immediately resolve the issues projected by the agitating lawyers. The people and the practicing lawyers are facing great hardship due to the issues remaining unresolved. Other prominent participants in today's Dharna were Babu Ram Sharma, SK Anand, Jaspinder Singh, SC Subhash,CS Gupta, Madan Lal, Rajinder Singh Jamwal, Manohar Gupta, Asok Chib, Vijay Sajgotra, Meharban Singh, Bansi Lal Sharma, KK Pathan, Surjit Singh Andotra, Sachin Dogra, Ajay bakshi, Sukhvinder Singh, Charanjeev Singh, MQ Mieza, Sanjeev Kumar, Umesh Sharma, Amit Gupta, Kunal Chib, Pankaj Jamwal, Jyoti Sarup, Arvind Singh, Kesar Parveen(RS Pura Bar), GS Chib, Vishal Abrol, Atul Raina, Divya Ishan, Bhavishya Sudan, Arjun Singh Manhas, Narinder Sharma, Leena Devi, Virinder Singh, Sahil Verma, Suneet K Lochan, Gourav Sharma, arun Gandotra, besides others.
