Man assaulted in Rehari, succumbs

JAMMU, Nov 28: On 28/11/2020 one Shabir Ahmed S/o late Ghulam Nabi R/o Ustaad Mohalla Jammu age 42 years was assaulted by one Gurpreet Singh s/o Inderjeet Singh R/o sec 10 Nanak nagar with a sharp edged weapon at Rehari puli in the evening hours.
While the injured was taken to GMC for treatment, he succumbed to injuries later and the accused was on run. A case under FIR No.148/20 u/s 307 IPC 4/25 IAA was registered as soon as the information was received at PS Pacca Danga and investigation started. Police party comprising of SHO Pacca Danga and IC PP Rehari raided the probable places and after hectic efforts in coordination with SHO Gandhi nagar, were able to arrest the accused. Under the supervision of SDPO North city, crime scene was preserved, vital evidences were gathered and further investigation in the matter is going on.
