JKPS organizes virtual Hindi debate competition


JAMMU, Jan 10: JK Public School Kunjwani organized an Inter-School two days virtual Hindi Debate Competition for students of Classes IX to XII under the banner of Sahodaya Jammu Chapter. The aim of the competition was to hone public speaking skills of the students and teach them to articulate while expressing their thoughts and opinions. Total of 46 participants from 23 top notched CBSE schools participated in the competition. Whereas, on the first day of the occasion, 24 participants spoke on the given topic, and on the second day 22 participants spoke.
Ms Shashi Chaudhary, Director JK Educational Society was the Chief Guest on the second day of the event. The Jury consisted of Ms Jyoti Sharma, Academic Manager IDPS Jammu, Ms Rachna Khanna, Head Mistress Doon Internat-ional School, Ms Mubeen Butt, CCA Coordinator Jodhamamal Public School Channi Himmat. .
The programme started with welcome address by Principal JK Public School, Ms Vandana Sharma. The Chief Guest, Ms Shashi Chaudhary complimented participants for raising relevant issues on the topic and said that by debating on the topic students would be able to understand the benefits and pitfalls of the Farmer's Bill. She motivated and congratulated all participants for their future endeavours. She ensured and vowed to provide such platform in future as well and concluded.
Talented and budding orators spoke in favour and against the motion and debated enthusiastically. The highlight of the event was refuting round. The session was a Kaleidoscope of opinions, thoughts, ideas and perspective of youth. It was heartening to see young generation putting forward their point of view so fervently.
Dr Kunal Anand, Secretary Sahodaya Jammu Chapter and Principals of participating schools were present among other dignitaries. Dr Sunita Saraswat, DBDS Kota, Dr Parmatma Saran Mishra from Vidya Gyan Buland Shahar, Ms Preeti Malhotra, Sun Beam School Banaras and Mr Manoj Sahay, Senior Journalist ZEE TV were among special guests, who joined and expressed their appreciation on the programme. Vote of thanks was presented by Ms Rajni Gupta. The programme concluded with a soulful rendition of poetry by the Vice Principal JK Public School, Ms Shashi Rattan, with a collage of today's participants.
