Army conducts medical camp

Jammu, Apr 14: A health awareness cum medical checkup camp was organised by Indian Army at Hanjanwali in District Rajouri (J&K). The aim of the camp to spread awareness amongst local populace on different ailments, identification of risk factors, prevention from life style diseases precautions against COVID-19 and dietary modification for healthy lifestyle.
During the camp, a lecture was conducted on Vector & Water Borne Dise-ases such as Dehydration, Malaria, Typhoid, Gastr-oenteritis & Hepatitis. The attendees were informed about importance of maintaining personal hygiene, sanitation and precautionary measures to be adopted during summer season for prevention of season specific ailments. Awareness about COVID-19 precaution and vaccination drive of Government of India was also shared with the attendees to make them aware about the pandemic.
A total of 19 locals include men and children of alleges attended the camp. Local populace of Hanjan-wali appreciated the efforts of Army for providing medical facilities at their doorstep. Local village elders requested for conducting more similar camp in future.
