Pir Panjal Kabaddi League organised in Doda

JAMMU, Jan 16: Indian Army organised Pir Panjal Kabaddi League at Sports Stadium, Doda in close coordination with Jammu and Kashmir Police, Health Department, District Sports Authorities and Civil Administration from 13 Jan to 15 Jan 2022.
The league captivated and enthralled the people of Doda for three days while engaging a large number of youth in a constructive manner with seven teams participating from districts and regions including Doda, Kishtwar, Bhada-rwah, Ramban and Naushera. Sector Comma-nder, Indian Army graced the event as Chief Guest.
Civil dignitaries of Doda also attended the closing ceremony.
Doda won the match in a tough and nail biting contest with Naushera as runners up.
The champion and runners up teams were awarded with Cash prize and trophies. Winners, first runners-up and second runners up were also presented with Gold, Silver and Bronze medals.
Best Raider and Best Catcher were felicitated with individual trophies and cash prizes. This initiative by Indian Army was aimed at selecting and fielding talented players at state and national level. Selected players will further drive and inspire local youth to excel in sports.
