Banned polythene weighing 3125 Kgs seized

JAMMU, Jan 18: In an act of alertness and prompt action, a dedicated police team of PS Jhajjar Kotli while on naka duty in the jurisdiction of PS Jhajjar Kotli rounded up a suspect in a vehicle bearing Registration No JK03C/3224 who tried to flee away on being signalled to stop for checking but was overpowered by the police team. During search, multiple sacks of banned polythene bags weighing 3125 Kgs were recovered and seized.
The naka was laid by police teams of PS Jhajjar Kotli led by Inspr Devinder Singh and recoveries of the said material was made.
After this, the Divisional officer Pollution Control committee Jammu North Anil Sharma was informed. Later, on the arrival of said team, the seized materials along with the said detained person was handed over to the team for further legal action.
