JKMEF to support Kam Choro hartal May 24

Jammu, May 16: Jammu Kashmir Medical Empl-oyees Federation Gandhi Nagar hospital Jammu under the President ship of Sh. Rakesh Bakshi held meeting to support the Kam Choro hartal / Strike on 24th May 2022 at 10 am to 1 PM.
While addressing the participants he urged the employees to be united for burning demands that is Departmental promotion committee (Promotions) of all categories in the health in support of their demands. They alleged that the administrative department of health & family welfare has failed to frame rules of promotions and conduct a department, which has been pending for the last four years. Several higher grade posts have been lying vacant in the department for many years including Govt Hospital Gandhi Nagar Jammu & Govt Hospital Sarwal Jammu.
So many health employees have been retired without getting their promotion benefits. Patient also suffered due to shortage of staff in health institutions.
They also alleged that the administration failed to resolve the permanent salary issue of Female Multipurpose Workers and other staff getting salaries under Head -2211 Family Welfare.
The salary of FMPH Workers and other staff has been pending for the last five months, and the employees and their families have been facing hardship and are on the verge of starvation, and many are not getting their treatment due to not being the released of their salary.
They also urged the UT Govt should register leftover Govt in service Pharmacists under the new pharmacy Act 1948 section 32-C, which was implemented in UT after the abrogation of Article 370.
Federation also demanded the restoration of the old pension scheme for all UT employees on the analogy of neighboring states. Non Pension Scheme failed to protect the post retirement welfare of Govt employees and new employees want to return to the old pension scheme. Jammu Kashmir employees should be shifted from new pension scheme to old pension scheme.
