ARTO Reasi conducts extensive checking on Katra-Jammu road amid special Nakas for checking HSRP plates
Scores of violators compounded; Rs 24000 fine recovered on Spot

REASI, May 17: Assistant Regional Transport Officer Reasi Rajesh Gupta today conducted extensive checking on Katra -Jammu Road to check HSRP plates and overloading by the passenger vehicles.
During the extensive checking, 250 vehicles were checked & 28 vehicles challaned for overloading & other violations, while 14 vehicles were challaned for not having HSRP. The violators were compounded and a fine of Rs 24000 was recovered on the spot.
The Team sensitized the drivers about relevant sections of Motor vehicle Act and urged upon them to fix HSRP plates to the Vehicles & keep documents updated in all respects.
They were further asked to follow the traffic rules in letter and spirit to ensure their safety as well as the safety of the others.
