JKiians outshine in Karate, Judo Competitions

JAMMU, May 17: The students of JK Public School, Kunjwani participated in the Inter-District Level Karate Competition under-17 and under- 14 age groups (Boys and Girls). The competition was organized by District Youth and Sports Services, Jammu at Khel Gaon Nagrota. In Under-17 Boys, Samaksh Sambyal won Gold, Arvind Singh won Silver & Krishna Mahajan won Bronze Med-al. In under-14 Boys, Aks-hat Kumar won Silver, Dilr-aj Singh won Bronze & Shr-eyansh won Bronze Medal.
In under-17 Girls, Jasleen Kour won Gold, Ritika won Gold and Navjot Kour won Bronze Medal. In Under- 14 Girls, Sehajdeep Kour silver, Bhavya Vikas silver and Buvi Dogra Bronze Medal.
Adding another feather to the cap of JKPS family, in the Inter-school Judo Championship, Suhana Wani won Silver medal, Taniya Thapa and Ridhima won Bronze Medal each. The championship was held at Youth Hostel Nagrota.
In the Morning Assem-bly, Director JK Education Society, Ms Shashi Choud-hary and Principal Rajesh Rathore lauded the efforts of the students and Karate Coach Mr Gopal Dass and Judo Coach Mr Rajesh Kumar Verma. Principal Rajesh Rathore motivated the champs to adopt the principles of determination & perseverance to conquer all the hurdles ahead.
He inspired the winners to keep the momentum high. He asked them never to rest on their laurels. "Hard work and dedication are the success mantras for life. Hard work helps us to achieve our goals. This gives us the requisite impetus to scale the ladder of success. Betterment and accomplishments are the byproducts of hard work. It transforms our dreams into reality. Keep learning how to push yourselves forward beyond your elastic limits because only then you may escalate on the path of success", he concluded.
