Jammu, May 18: Shivsena while gearing up for the upcoming Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir has decided to field its candidates on all the Assembly seats. This was informed by the party J&K unit chief Manish Sahni while releasing a 25-point "lakshy ptr" based on public aspirations as its election manifesto here today.
While addressing a press conference here today, the Shiv Sena Jammu & Kashmir unit Chief said under the call of party national president and Maharashtra Chief Minister Honorable Uddhav Saheb Thackeray and guidance of national secretary Anil Desai, Shiv Sena will perform like a lion in Jammu and Kashmir assembly, with the manifesto based on people's aspirations.
Sahni said that during the party's campaign namely 'Shiv Sena Aap Ke Dwar', the party cadre assessed the aspirations received from the public and accordingly prepared its 25-point "lakshy ptr". He said that it include restoration of state status , free electricity and water supply , unemployment allowance to the educated youths, technical education center at tehsil level,
better education and health facilities to the people, representation of POJK in the J&K Assembly and last but not the least the safe return of Kashmiri Hindus to the valley. Manish Sahni lamented that Jammu and Kashmir has been craving for development, restoration of peace for the last several decades. Even after the abrogation of Article 370 on August 5, 2019, the internal scenario has not changed the least. This is evident from the fact that in view of murky situation in Kashmir, big investors are hesitant to invest while corruption is at its peak with bureaucracy arbitrarily ruling the roost. He asserted that significant issues of people from general to the special ones continue to be conveniently ignored by the administration.
