Women’s self-reliance increased due to the livelihood mission

National Rural Livelihood Mission has worked
to make women self-reliant. The women of self-help groups are not only
becoming aware of their rights but are also making efforts to provide their rights to other women and to solve their problems.
This is a wonderful example of women's empowerment in villages. Jagbir Ramesh Singhmar, Aajeevika Mission Program Manager, Siwani block of Bhiwani district of Haryana says that the poor have a strong desire to come out of poverty, and have innate abilities, hence social mobilization and social mobilization to uncover the innate abilities of the poor. Building strong institutions for the poor is important. Aajeevika Mission is a dedicated and sensitive structure to drive the process of social mobilisation, institution building, and empowerment.

Aajeevika Mission is bringing major socio-economic change in the lives of rural women. The Ministry of Rural Development is committed to improving the economic and social status of the rural poor, especially the women members of self-help groups. Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihood Mission aims at making rural women self-confident, aware and self-reliant. This is a poverty relief program of the central government. It was launched in the year 2011 by the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India as 'Aajeevika- National Rural Livelihoods Mission. In 2015 its name was changed to Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihoods Mission.
By taking training under Deen-dayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihood Mission, women of self-help groups are not only becoming aware of their rights but are also making efforts to provide their rights to other women and solve their problems. This is a wonderful example of women's empowerment in villages. National Rural Livelihood Mission has worked to make women
self-reliant. Canteens of Women Self-Help Groups are running in blocks across the country. The women of the group are also running fair price shops. Women's groups have also made a new record in organic farming.
This scheme is an improved version of the earlier Swarnajayanti Gram Swarozgar Yojana. The program is partially supported by the World Bank; It aims to create effective and efficient institutional platforms to enable the rural poor to increase their household income through sustainable livelihood enhancement and better access to financial services. Additionally, the poor will be enabled to have better access to rights, public services, and other entitlements.

& empowerment. Facilitating knowledge dissemination, skill building, access to credit, access to marketing, and access to other livelihood services underscore the dynamism of
the program.
Under NRLM, we guide poor women to move forward by imbibing core values that guide all activities, such as involving the poorest in all processes and giving a meaningful role to the poorest, transparency and accountability of all processes and institutions, Year wise details of the ownership and critical role of the poor and their institutions in all phases, plan implementation and monitoring, community self-reliance and phased implementation and coverage of districts and blocks as envisaged by NRLM.
The mission aims at harnessing the inherent capabilities of the poor and equipping them with capabilities (such as knowledge, information, tools, finance, skills, and collectivities) to participate in the economy. The scheme started with an agenda to cover 7 crores, rural poor families, through Self Help Groups (SHGs) and Sangh Sansthan and support for livelihood collective in 8-10 years. NRLM places great emphasis on linkage with other programs of the Central Ministries. Leads along with the programs of the State Gover-nments to develop synergy directly or indirectly with the institutions of the poor.
Aajeevika Mission through its three pillars focuses on promoting and stabilizing the existing livelihood structures of the poor. At least one female member of a rural poor family is to be brought into the network of an SHG. This is to strengthen the financial management capacity of the poor. First by expanding existing livelihoods and tapping new livelihood opportunities in both agricultural and non-farm sectors; Second employment generation through skilling and third through the promotion of entrepreneurship/self-employment. Another important feature of this scheme is that it gives high priority to partnership with other government schemes of the Ministry of Rural Development. It also tries to build relationships with Panchayati Raj Institutions.

Today in the villages of the country, many self-help groups are organically cultivating vegetables. National Rural Livelihood Mission has worked to make women self-reliant. Women self-help groups are running canteens in the blocks. The women of the group are also running fair price shops. Women's groups have also made a new record in organic farming. Many Self Help Groups in villages are organically doing vegetable cultivation. Women from women's groups have found employment in agriculture.
NRLM through self-managed Self Help Groups and Institutions to cover and support 7 crore rural poor families in 600 districts, 6000 blocks, 2.5 lakh gram panchayats, and 6 lakh villages across the country over 8-10 years. An agenda has been set for This will facilitate increased access for the poor to their rights and public services, diverse exposure, and better social indicators of empowerment. NRLM believes in harnessing the innate capabilities of the poor and equipping them with the capabilities of information, knowledge, skills, tools, finance, and collectivities to participate in the growing economy of the country.
