(ORDER)
01.0.2022
When this matter was taken up for consideration Mr. Sajad Ashraf, learned GA submits that the matter is assigned to Government Advocates for conducting the case before the court.
We have noticed that, of late, criminal matters pending before the Division Bench arising out of murder trials, are being assigned to Government Advocates. We are not averse to the assignment of the cases to the Government Advocates but we expect that learned Advocate General, keeping in view sensitivity of the matters and the nature of the trial, will assign these matters to AAGs' with Assisting Counsel also, who have some substantial experience in the criminal trial.
In the above background, this matter is adjourned to be taken up week following with the request to learned Advocate General that the criminal appeals which arise out of the murder trials/sensitive matters and pending before Division Bench of this Court, are at least, assigned to AAGs' assisted by the Government Advocate.
List on 09.08.2022.
Bench Secretary to furnish copy of order to learned Advocate General.
