JAMMU, Aug 5: J&K BJP Vice President, Yudhvir Sethi today asserted that abrogation of Article 370 has paved the path to a new Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing gathering after unfurling National Flag on the third anniversary of abrogation of Art 370, Yudhvir Sethi said that nepotism, corruption, separatism, discrimination and terrorism have been curbed today. The efforts made by our security forces, administration, and central government show that a new Jammu and Kashmir is moving forward.
"Discrimination against Ladakh and Jammu was going on continuously and no rights were given to Valmiki Samaj, Pakistani refugees and Gorkha Samaj for 70 years. They were deprived of their rights while living in their own country. Today a new era of government has started where Kashmir and Jammu are being treated equally. Terrorism is being curbed. Those who used to openly support terrorism, are also being restrained," he asserted.
The senior BJP leader stated the terrorists have given proof of their cowardice with the targeted killings of civilians. "They are nervous because they know that their time will end in the coming days," he said.
Meanwhile, Yudhvir appealed to people of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory to make the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign a successful event as it is the matter of pride for every Indian. He maintained that people of J&K UT should hoist Tirangas atop their homes and hearth to show solidarity with fellow countrymen and express the magnanimity of the country through their terraces, rooftops and balconies.
The senior BJP leader said that such initiatives are of great value as these sprout nationalism among the people and connect them with the roots through the route of patriotism. He said that J&K should look unique in the sense that every household must hoist the National Flag without fail so that the world once again gets the exact idea about patriotism of people of the Union Territory.
