Dogra Degree College organizes induction programme

Samba, Sep 29: Dogra Degree College organized Induction programme to welcome the new entrants who have joined the college for the session 2022 -23. The programme started with the lighting of the traditional lamp by the dignitaries followed by Lotus flower offering to Sarswati Maa, seeking her blessings for eternal knowledge.
Welcome address was presented by Mrs. Bela Thakur, Principal, Dogra Degree College. She motivated students to enrich their knowledge in all fields and enhance the inner potential to the fullest. Th. Gulchain Singh Charak, Chairman; Dogra Educational Trust was the Chief Guest on the occasion. He welcomed the new entrants and emphasized on the institutional policies, processes, practices, culture and values.
He also emphasized on the importance and recognition of hidden talent of the students which always contribute to the development of self- confidence and self expression. He further added that Dogra Degree College is committed and will continue its endeavor in imparting education for the betterment of the society.
Kr. Samar dev Singh Charak, Secretary, Dogra Educational Trust also welcomed the students and gave brief information about the college achievements and also shared the information pertaining to academic rules and regulations of the college.
At the outset of programme, Ms Priyanka Sharma and Ms Aditi Khajuria, Lecturers in English presented a Power Point Presentation in which background of the college, infrastructure and facilities, introduction of teaching as well as non-teaching staff members, academic status with reference to NEP and achievements were highlighted.
Alumni, namely Abhinandan Gupta from BBA department, Arvi Khursheed from BA department and Monika Manhas from B.Com department were invited to share their experiences at Dogra Degree College.
