JAMMU, Jan 31: A host of delegations pertaining to ReKs, ReJs, NYCs, MGNREGA employees called on the BJP's grievance cell at Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
The proceedings were monitored by Ranbir Singh Pathania, Former MLA and BJP Spokesperson. Vikas Choudhary, Secretary BJP was also present.
These trained, capacity-built assets of the State need to be given a fair treatment. Successive governments herein over have practiced policy of hire and fire. This has worsened the situation here. We need to be fair and just while dealing with these people. There are wounds, which have festered for decades and decades should be cured and wiped off by now. BJP leaders underscored the need for channelizing the best of the energies and potential of the youth and ending an realm of uncertainty over it. We need to take a humanitarian view of the matter. It was also impressed that the stalemate regarding PM Package employees and reserved category employees needs to be worked out. Rehbar-e-Janglats sought to ensure a time bound and sure short regularization after completion of a specified period. In view of technical nature of duties performed by them and their professional qualifications, it was impressed that they should be regularized in the grade/scale of a 'forestor'. ReKs called for increase of honorarium and lessening of the regularization period from 7 to 5 years NYCs called for rolling out a comprehensive regularization policy as well as decent honorarium too. MGNREGA workers called for acting upon a policy already drafted by JK government. More so, many of the states have enhanced their honaria considerably.
These are experienced and qualified people whose potentials could not be allowed to run waste.
