Fire safety mock drill conducted in Government Hospital Sarwal

JAMMU, Jun 1: A Fire safety mock drill was today conducted in the Government Hospital Sarwal by the Hospital Administration and J&K Fire Emergency Service.
The Hospital staff, including doctors, nurses and support personnel followed the fire safety protocols and procedures accurately. At the outset, a lecture cum demonstration was delivered by Kiran Ji Raina, Fire Safety officer and his team.
The drill included a simulation of a fire outbreak in the hospital premises. The incident was quickly responded to and the fire safety measures were used to contain and prevent it from spreading to other areas.
The expert team also gave a demonstration and imparted hands-on training to the staff regarding the operationalization of different types of fire extinguishers. The visiting fire safety officers also used the fire tenders and other fire safety equipment for the drill.
The mock drill was followed by a debriefing session where the performance of staff was evaluated and areas for improvement were identified. Overall the fire safety drill was a success.
The fire safety drill was conducted on the written request of Hospital administration and it was the maiden demonstration in the GH Sarwal.
