Workshopon Electric Vehicleorganized at SMVDU

Jammu, Jun 2: The School of Mechanical Engineering of SMVD University, Katra in collaboration with Center for Invention, Invention, Incubation and Training (CIIIT) Govt. Polytechnic Jammu conducted a two days workshop on "Electric Vehicles " for the students, scholars , faculty and staff of various institutes.Padma Shri, Professor (Dr.) R. K. Sinha Vice Chancellor, SMVDU, Katra was the Patron of the program.
Principal Government Polytechnic Jammu, Er. Arun Bangotra and Professor. Eswarmoorthy Muthusamy, Head, SoME, SMVDU were the chairman of the program.The objective of the workshop was to provide a unique opportunity to participants about the working of Electric Vehicles, Design of Motors and Batteries and application of Power Electronics in electric Vehicles.
Principal Government Polytechnic Jammu, Er. Arun Bangotra formally presented welcome address and briefed the dignitaries about the event insights. The workshop was conducted in four sessions on two days comprising of theory and designing the components. Dr. Sanjay Sharma Assistant Professor SoME, SMVDU, Convener, of the workshop spoke about the current scenario of auto sector and importance of involvement of students in such workshops.
Er. Deepak Byotra, Workshop Supdt. SMVDU, organizing secretary of the program appreciate the efforts of Sh. Sandeep Nimbalkar, Project Coordinator, TATA Technologies, and all others Subject Matter Experts of TATA technologies to conduct such latest technology related workshop on Electric Vehicle.In the Workshop 50 faculty, staff and students of various institutes like DAV Jalandhar, HKM Haryana, SMVD University Katra, YCET, GCET Jammu and Government Polytechnic Jammu participated.
